Selin-4 Wind Power Plant (WPP) Project – Çanakkale
As Arkas Heavy, we successfully completed the heavy cargo transportation operations carried out within the scope of the Çanakkale Selin-4 WPP Project. Throughout the operation, all cargo was delivered safely to the project site within the planned timeframe, supported by our high safety standards, experienced project teams, and specialized transportation equipment.
Within the scope of the Selin-4 WPP Project, the MST transportation of a total of 2 sets of wind turbine components from the Bergama Enercon Warehouse to the project site was successfully completed between 28 July and 2 August using a total of 52 transport vehicles. In addition, the unloading operations of all equipment at the Selin-4 WPP site were completed safely and in accordance with the planned schedule.
During the second phase of the project, the transportation of blade, nacelle, hub, and E-module components from Borusan Port to the Çanakkale Selin-4 WPP site commenced on 26 August. Following the completion of route surveys, the acquisition of all required transportation permits, and the establishment of traffic safety arrangements, the operations were launched in line with the planned schedule. Transportation activities were carried out safely and under controlled conditions with the support of escort vehicles and site coordination teams.
As of 3 September, the transportation and unloading operations of all project components were successfully completed. Following the full achievement of operational objectives, Arkas Heavy teams completed their activities at the project site and safely demobilized from the field.
Throughout the operation, there were no occupational accidents, environmental incidents, equipment damage, or any adverse events affecting cargo safety. All cargo was delivered to the project site and safely unloaded under controlled conditions on 3 September. As a result, the transportation operation was completed successfully, on schedule, and without any damage or incidents.
