EGE Wind Power Plant (WPP) Project – Kemalpaşa / İzmir
As Arkas Heavy, we successfully completed the wind turbine transportation and on-site unloading operations carried out within the scope of the EGE WPP İzmir Project. Throughout the project, all activities were executed in accordance with the planned schedule, supported by our expert teams, specialized heavy cargo transportation equipment, and high occupational health and safety standards.
Within the scope of the EGE WPP Project, logistics operations for the transportation of wind turbine components from Gaziemir and Gemlik to the EGE WPP site located in Kemalpaşa were successfully completed. As part of the project, 2 sets of ENERCON wind turbine blades were transported from Gaziemir to the project site. In addition, the transportation of tower sections, generators, hubs, nacelles, and other major components belonging to 2 sets of wind turbines originating from Gemlik was completed in accordance with the operational plan.
Prior to the transportation activities, route surveys were conducted, technical inspections of the transportation equipment were completed, and detailed operational planning was carried out. Following the completion of the required permitting processes and the implementation of all necessary safety measures, transportation operations were mobilized in line with the project schedule.
Throughout the operation, all shipments were executed safely, under controlled conditions, and in accordance with the planned schedule through the coordination of site teams, escort vehicles, and relevant stakeholders. The delivery of all project components to the project site was successfully completed.
During the operation, no occupational accidents, environmental incidents, equipment damage, or operational disruptions occurred, and all transportation and unloading activities were successfully completed. Occupational Health, Safety, and Quality Performance
Throughout the operation, all activities were carried out in accordance with approved lifting plans. Work areas were isolated using safety barriers, and all personnel were required to wear the necessary personal protective equipment without exception. Risk assessments were conducted regularly, uninterrupted communication was maintained among site teams, and all lifting activities were performed in a controlled manner.
