Arıtaş – Limak Port Cryogenic Tank Transportation Project – Gönen – İskenderun
As Arkas Heavy, we successfully completed the heavy lifting and project cargo transportation operations for the delivery of cryogenic tanks manufactured at the Arıtaş Plant in Gönen to Limak Port in İskenderun. Throughout the project, all activities were carried out safely, under controlled conditions, and in accordance with the planned schedule, supported by our specialized engineering teams, dedicated transportation equipment, and meticulous operational planning.
Within the scope of the project, cryogenic tanks, each measuring 22 meters in length and 4.40 meters in diameter, were transported successfully. The combined cargo and transport equipment configuration reached a total of 4.70 meters in width, 4.80 meters in height, 42 meters in overall vehicle length, and a gross transport weight of 115 tons. Classified as an out-of-gauge transportation operation, the project was planned based on detailed engineering calculations and comprehensive route analyses.
The transportation was carried out using Variomax hydraulic modular trailers, ensuring the safe and stable movement of the cargo. Throughout the 1,355-kilometre route, all permitting procedures, traffic management activities, and safety measures were managed and executed in full. The shipment, which commenced at the Arıtaş Plant in Gönen, was completed successfully at Limak Port in İskenderun, where the cargo was delivered safely and without incident.
Throughout the operation, there were no occupational accidents, environmental incidents, or cargo damage. All transportation activities were completed successfully in line with the highest safety standards and a commitment to operational excellence.
